I Was Featured on Focus Atlanta – Let’s Talk About Vacation Burnout

I’m excited to share that I was recently a guest on Focus Atlanta with the wonderful Keisha Lancelin! It was such an honor to be featured on a program that highlights meaningful conversations around health and well-being.

In this segment, we talked about something a lot of people don’t expect—how exhausting vacations can actually be. I know that sounds strange, but it’s real: over 50% of people come back from vacation feeling more tired than when they left. Keisha and I dove into why that happens and what we can do about it.

We covered:

  • The dangers of overplanning your vacation (yes, it’s a thing!)
  • How morning sunlight and managing your circadian rhythm can reset your stress hormones
  • Why bright lights and screen time at night can sabotage your rest—even in a hotel room
  • And most importantly, how to mentally disconnect so your vacation actually feels like a break

It was a fun and thoughtful conversation, and I’m incredibly grateful to the Focus Atlanta team for having me on.

Thanks again to everyone who tuned in and supported this conversation. Let’s all take rest seriously.
